INTERNATIONAL ACTION RESEARCH CONFERENCE (IARC) 2023
Action research is an approach to research that focuses on solving real-world problems and creating practical solutions, to address industry challenges, improve business practices, or contribute to the development of knowledge in the field. It involves a collaborative and iterative process that engages researchers and practitioners in a cyclical manner, allows researchers working closely with industry partners, organizations, or communities to identify issues, develop interventions or solutions, implement them, and evaluate their impact. This collaborative and applied research approach allows for the practical application of research findings and the potential for creating positive change in the business environment.
Action research aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice by actively involving stakeholders in the research process, generating actionable insights, and contributing to the advancement of business knowledge and practices. ISLAMIC FINANCE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE (IFIC) 2023
The 21st century saw Islamic finance industry continue its rapid growth and transforming the global financial landscape. The teachings of the Quran and Sunnah is deeply embedded in the practices of Islamic finance. It offers ethical and socially responsible methods of finance and has gained notice and acceptance not only amongst Muslims but also non-Muslims globally.
As an effort to contribute towards the development of the industry, AHIBS Islamic Finance Conference brings together industry professionals, scholars and academics to deliberate and explore new and innovative ways to further develop the market. This conference is an avenue for stakeholders, including policymakers, to gather and share their research, insights and experiences on all aspects of Islamic finance, particularly in sharing innovative ideas and solutions. Areas covered including, but not limited to, shariah issues, retail and commercial financing, investment banking, takaful, derivatives, and microfinance. Discussions will include theoretical foundations of Islamic finance and its practical applications including brand-building and risk management.
Keynote speeches by industry and academic leaders, panel and roundtable discussions, and interactive seminars will delve into, and deliberate prospects and challenges facing the industry. The conference will also present trends, innovations, and solutions that will contribute toward global financial inclusion, sustainable and equitable development, and economic growth and prosperity. This will encourage more Islamic finance research and education which in turn will facilitate the development of products, services, and technology that enhances the value, effectiveness and efficiency of the industry.
