POSTER COMPETITION

All participants that pay full conference fee are eligible to join the poster competition for free. Others can join by paying the fee of RM200 / USD50 per poster. There will be three special prizes available for the best-chosen poster and all participants will be awarded with the certificate of recognition.

POSTER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

Language and Writing Style

All text should be in English.

Use clear and concise language to convey your message effectively.

Proofread the content for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.

Avoid jargon and use terminology that can be understood by a diverse audience.

Size and Orientation

The size of the poster should be A0 (84.1 cm x 118.9 cm) or A1 (59.4 cm x 84.1 cm).

The poster should be in portrait orientation.

Submission

You are required to bring the printed poster as hard copy and submission should be made during the registration on the 27 October 2023

Content and Structure

Include sections such as introduction, objectives, methodology, results, conclusion, and references.

Use concise statements, bullet points, and headings to convey key information effectively.

Visual Presentation

Utilize relevant and high-quality visuals, such as images, charts, graphs, and diagrams.

Ensure the visuals are clear, well-labelled, and easy to understand.

Maintain a consistent colour scheme and font style throughout the poster.

Arrange the content in a visually appealing and organized manner.

Readability

Use a legible font type and size, ensuring that the text can be read from a reasonable distance.

Avoid overcrowding the poster with excessive text or visuals.

Ensure adequate spacing between sections, text, and visual elements for ease of reading.

Design and Layout

Use colours, fonts, and graphics that are visually pleasing and complement your content.

Ensure a balanced layout with well-organized sections and a clear hierarchy of information.

Provide a brief overview or summary at the beginning to capture the audience’s attention.
