Nur Azam Anuarul Perai

Dr Azam spent 16 years in the regional financial services industry, mainly in treasury, investment banking and capital markets. In 2014. He joined Asia Pacific University as senior lecturer and programme leader for the banking, finance and insurance programme. He is an Economics graduate from the University of Essex, holds an MBA specialising in Islamic banking and finance from the International Islamic University Malaysia and a PhD in Sociology and Social Policy from the University of Stirling. His research interests are in the areas of economic sociology including the third sector, poverty, and social stratification. He is also an active member of the International Society for Third Sector Research and a holder of the Malaysian Financial Market Certificate (PKMC).
