A total of 138 companies benefited from AHIBS Pitch for Funding 2020 (PFF2020) event held on Sunday 28th June, 2020.
.
The event was part of AHIBS Action Research framework, a capstone project compulsory for AHIBS MBA. Under the framework, MBA students will closely collaborate with chosen companies to identify their business concerns, implement interventions, and measure their results. The whole framework takes three semesters to complete, starting with a specialised methodology course, proposal preparation, implementation of interventions and measurement of results.
.
Every semester students present their proposals to bid for the AHIBS Residential Research Grants that provide monetary support for the research purpose. PFF2020 sees a total of 138 project proposals, comprising of different business areas and industries, pitched by the participants. Panel of judges includes AHIBS adjunct professors, AHIBS industry advisory panels and industry partners and academicians. PFF2020 has allocated RM22,000 this semester to the best 11 project proposals evaluated based on their foreseen impact and practical values.
In keeping with the post-MCO regulations, PFF2020 was virtually held via the Zoom application. It was a challenge, hence a historical feat for AHIBS, to manage almost 150 participants via the online platform. Congratulations to all winners and the Action Research Committee led by Dr. Beni Widarman.
.
This event was made possible by the sponsorship of Yayasan Tan Sri Azman Hashim UTM Endowment Fund on academic development. PFF2020 has added another testimony that demonstrates AHIBS commitment to quality business education delivery and strong industrial influence.

Stay tune to the upcoming AHIBS Action Research Challenge 2020 (AARC2020) in July whereby students will present their project impacts to industry stakeholders and academicians.
