The Microcredential Course on Data Management for Healthcare Professionals brings together senior officers from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) to strengthen their skills in data management, analytics, and digital innovation for the healthcare sector.

Led by Dr. Mohd Iskandar bin Illyas Tan, the course features five interactive sessions — combining two physical and three online classes — designed to deliver both flexibility and impactful learning.

Participants are divided into two specialized cohorts, each designed to build critical expertise in healthcare’s digital landscape. The Cybersecurity cohort focuses on strengthening data protection and system resilience, equipping participants with the knowledge to safeguard sensitive health information against emerging digital threats. Meanwhile, the Statistics & Data Analytics cohort empowers participants to turn complex data into meaningful insights, enhancing evidence-based decision-making and driving smarter, more efficient healthcare solutions.

Through hands-on training, participants learn how to manage, analyze, and visualize data while understanding the vital importance of privacy and security in health information systems.

This programme empowers MOH officers to become leaders in digital healthcare transformation, ready to harness data intelligence and technology to enhance decision-making, improve patient outcomes, and support Malaysia’s move towards a smarter, safer, and more connected health system.
