Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nomahaza Mahadi

Dr. Nomahaza Mahadi is an academic and researcher at the Azman Hashim International Business School (AHIBS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), with expertise in emotional intelligence, personality, leadership, and work attitudes. She has been actively involved in numerous research grants, serving as the Principal Investigator for various national and UTM-funded projects, including a national grant examining the role of emotional intelligence and personality in job performance. She has also led research initiatives on developing respect-based measures for leadership effectiveness and employee behavioural outcomes. Her international collaborations include programmes focused on entrepreneurship development and emotional management skills.

Dr. Nomahaza has received recognition for her scholarly contributions, including multiple International Best Paper Awards and several Excellent Service Awards at both university and faculty levels. Her publications include articles in ISI- and Scopus-indexed journals, as well as book chapters. As a committed supervisor, she has successfully guided eight PhD and DBA candidates to graduation and is currently supervising several ongoing doctoral and master’s research projects. Her work also extends to industry engagement through consultancy and collaborative projects with external organisations. Through her academic leadership and sustained contributions to research and practice, Dr. Nomahaza continues to contribute to the advancement of emotional intelligence and leadership while supporting the development of future researchers and professionals.
