Dr Teo Poh Chuin
Dr. Teo Poh Chuin joins the Azman Hashim International Business School (AHIBS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) as a Senior Lecturer in 2019. Following the completion of a PhD in Management, Dr. Teo worked as a Business Development Manager in Singapore for two years. Subsequently, she served as a Senior Lecturer at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) (formerly known as Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, TARUC). Dr. Teo is also a member of the Academy of International Business (USA), and Marketing Science Institute (USA).
Her research expertise include marketing, consumer behaviour, branding, international business and sustainable consumption. Dr. Teo teaches Research Methods for Business in the DBA programme, Strategic Innovative Marketing, Organization Behavior & Development as well as Seminar in Global Business Strategy in the MBA. She is experienced in conducting conventional and Open & Distance Learning (ODL) MBA programmes.
Dr. Teo is experienced in various administration roles such as Learning and Development Manager, and Academic Lead for the AACSB Office of AHIBS. She is also currently serving as the Executive Secretary for AHIBS Advisory Council (AAC). During her service with TARUC/TAR UMT, she led a research centre namely Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Sustainability (CEIS).
Besides, she is also actively leading and taking part in consultation projects and research grants at international and domestic levels. Dr. Teo also publishes and presents her research works in international journals, books and conferences, reviewing international journal articles, as well as acting as an external assessor and external supervisor for other universities.
