
Prof. Dr. Rosmini Omar
Rosmini Omar is the Dean and Professor of Management at Azman Hashim International Business School (AHIBS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia with over 32 years of teaching experience in Malaysia, the United States, and Finland. Her academic journey began with a foundation in International Business, which evolved into a distinguished scholarly focus on Organizational Change and Development. She has led numerous national and international projects, including key initiatives under the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme such as the ASEAN Network for Green Entrepreneurship and Leadership (ANGEL), and the trans-disciplinary Master of Science in Food Processing & Innovation (FOODI). She has published widely in high-impact journals, with recent works addressing green entrepreneurship, AI-driven innovation, and digital transformation in traditional sectors. Her research blends strategic insight with real-world relevance, underpinned by her consultancy projects with industry and government bodies. Beyond academia, she has a longstanding commitment to societal well-being. She was previously engaged with the World Health Organization’s Patients for Patient Safety program and currently serves on the Patients Advisory Board of a private hospital in Malaysia, reflecting her belief in bridging academic excellence with compassionate, people-centered engagement. At this pivotal stage in her career, Rosmini is dedicated to championing the needs of marginal communities globally, with a focus on capacity building, inclusive leadership, and educational transformation for societal impact.
