Dr. Mazuwin Haja Maideen

Dr. Mazuwin Binti Haja Maideen has established an impressive academic and professional record, underpinned by extensive research, teaching, and supervisory achievements. With more than 20 years of experience spanning academia and industry, she has built expertise in Human Resource Management (HRM), Human Resource Development (HRD), Strategic Management, and related areas. Her scholarly work is strongly complemented by active engagement in research grants, collaborations, publications, and recognition through multiple awards. In terms of research funding, Dr. Mazuwin has led and contributed to several significant projects. She is the Principal Investigator of the Yayasan Tan Sri Azman Hashim Research Grant (2023–2024) focusing on the development of entrepreneurial skills, emotional management, and financial literacy for B40 young mothers in Klang Valley. She has also contributed as a research team member to the Erasmus+ Capacity Building for Higher Education project on ASEAN Network for Green Entrepreneurship and Leadership, a large-scale initiative valued at RM 4.59 million, in addition to other national-level research grant as a team member. Her collaborative efforts extend across international and national platforms, including involvement in Erasmus+ networks, consultancy projects, and academic committees such as AACSB accreditation working groups. She has also served as an external examiner for universities in Malaysia and abroad, and is active in editorial roles for journals and research committees. These collaborations have not only enriched her own scholarship but have also contributed to strengthening institutional and industry linkages. Dr. Mazuwin’s research contributions are reflected in an extensive portfolio of publications. She has authored and co-authored numerous journal articles in internationally recognized journals, including the International Journal of Management Concepts and Philosophy (2024), International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences (2023), and several indexed journals on HR, leadership, and organizational performance. Her work spans issues such as talent management, employability of people with disabilities, leadership styles, and post-pandemic organizational strategies. In addition to journal articles, she has also published a book and contributed other academic writings and proceedings. Her academic supervision achievements are equally noteworthy. She has successfully supervised multiple PhD and Master’s candidates to completion, including theses on expatriate job performance, talent management in SMEs, and construction project delivery. Currently, she continues to supervise PhD and DBA candidates on diverse topics ranging from talent attraction and employability of people with disabilities to leadership dynamics in service industries. Beyond postgraduate mentorship, she has guided nearly 100 undergraduate final year projects and over 60 master’s dissertations across Malaysian and international institutions. She also serves as both an internal and external examiner for PhD and DBA theses across universities in Malaysia and abroad Dr. Mazuwin’s academic excellence has been recognized with several prestigious awards. Among these are the Excellence Service Awards (2022, 2023), the Teaching Award (2023), a Gold Medal Award at Grex 2023, the Award of Excellence for Active Blended Learning (2022), and the Best Research Paper Award (2017). These accolades highlight her sustained contributions to teaching, research, and service. Collectively, her record of grants, collaborations, awards, publications, and supervision reflects a distinguished career dedicated to advancing scholarship, leadership, and impactful academic practice.
