Dr. Basheer Mohammed Al-Haimi

Dr. Basheer Al-haimi is a Senior Lecturer at the Azman Hashim International Business School (AHIBS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, where he also serves as External Relations and Global Manager. He holds a Ph.D. in Technology Management from Universiti Malaysia Pahang, an M.Sc. in IT Management, and a B.Sc. in Software Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. His research spans organizational performance, digital transformation, technology management across disciplines, strategies, governance, and higher education studies. He has produced more than 35 publications in ISI Q1 and Scopus-indexed journals, book chapters, and international conference proceedings. Dr. Al-haimi has received multiple accolades, including a Gold Medal in Teaching, a Silver Medal in Research, an Excellence Award in Administration and Services, and several Best Paper Awards at international conferences. He has also secured competitive funding, including the Azman Hashim Industry Grant 2024 and several postgraduate research grants. An active scholar and speaker, he has delivered over five keynote addresses in Malaysia, Russia, Bahrin, and Yemen on topics such as the ASEAN digital economy, artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0 skills, AI in public and private sectors, digital talent development, world-class universities, and digital transformation in healthcare, in addition to presenting at more than 15 international conferences worldwide. He is currently supervising and has supervised over 25 PhD/DBA candidates and more than 20 Master’s students, contributing significantly to capacity building and academic leadership. Beyond academia, Dr. Al-haimi has professional experience as a Business Development Manager and business consultant, and he actively engages in collaborations across Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, China, and Russia. A recipient of scholarships from the Ministry of Higher Education, Yemen, and Universiti Malaysia Pahang, he remains dedicated to advancing research, fostering international partnerships, and inspiring future leaders through education and innovation.
