
Nazimah Hussin
Dr. Nazimah Hussin is an Associate Professor in Finance at Azman Hashim International Business School, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (AHIBS UTM). She holds a PhD from Durham University, an MSc from Loughborough University, and a BSc from Arizona State University. She has about 20 years of teaching experience and has earned Fellowship status from the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK. Dr. Nazimah supervises Master’s and PhD students and has successfully graduated 17 PhD candidates. She has led and completed multiple research grants. From 2018 to 2021, she served as the Director of Business Administration, during which key academic transformation initiatives were successfully implemented. In addition to her academic duties, Dr. Nazimah has served as an examiner, panellist, chairperson, and reviewer for various academic activities. She is an auditor for academic programs and a panel member for APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) evaluations from Level 6 to Level 8. She was on the committee for academic staff promotion. The work varied from faculty, university, national, to international levels. She has authored more than 80 publications, ranging from Web of Science (WOS) Q1-indexed journals to articles in mainstream media. Her research interests include behavioural finance, Islamic finance, corporate governance and services marketing. Dr. Nazimah has delivered keynote speeches at both national and international conferences. She serves as the Talent Development Lead, having successfully led several industry-driven talent development programs. With her skill set and experience, Dr. Nazimah has successfully chaired both national and international conferences. She has also led community projects, earning star ratings in recognition of the impact. She is passionate about creating impact and bridging the gap between academia and industry.
