Dr. Mohd Khairuddin Ramliy is a Senior Lecturer at the Azman Hashim International Business School (AHIBS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), with academic and professional expertise in innovation management, commercialization, social entrepreneurship, and strategic project development. His career demonstrates a balance between scholarly contributions, research leadership, and impactful community-driven innovation. From a research perspective, Dr. Khairuddin has secured and led numerous projects supported by national research grants, industry-linked funds, and government-community partnerships. His research portfolio spans multiple states, with active projects recorded in Johor (7 projects), Selangor (2), Pahang (1), Kedah (2), Perak with JAKOA-linked communities (7 projects), and additional projects across other states in Malaysia. These initiatives reflect his commitment to applying innovation for social and economic development, particularly in rural and B40 community contexts. Internationally, he is progressing with a collaborative program with international entities, such as awarded exhibition in the Osaka World Expo, Japan (2025), and Sohar University of Oman, focusing on technology transfer, knowledge sharing, and sustainable beekeeping systems—an initiative designed to strengthen cross-border academic-industry-community collaboration. On the academic side, Dr. Khairuddin integrates his research into teaching, especially within MBA and DBA programmes where he emphasizes hands-on learning, business simulation, and innovation-based pedagogy. His supervision record includes over 30 postgraduate students at master’s and doctoral levels, providing critical mentorship in entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems, and project commercialization. His scholarly outputs demonstrate both academic rigor and practical application. He has contributed to indexed journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings in areas such as open innovation, entrepreneurial orientation, and internationalization of higher education. Complementing this, he has registered patents and copyrights, most notably a patented technology in the beekeeping ecosystem to increase business efficiency among SMEs that underpins much of his translational research. Beyond publications, Dr. Khairuddin has gained visibility through national and regional media coverage, highlighting his research impact and innovations in sustainable agriculture and education technology. His recognition as an invited speaker and trainer—covering topics such as the Business Model Canvas, Business Model Development, and Social Return on Investment (SROI)—further demonstrates his professional traction, positioning him as both an academic scholar and a practitioner-consultant who bridges knowledge with application.
